I was a little confused when it came to this Lasko battery powered fan. Mainly because I love the fan and I love having one, but in terms of quality and price it's nowhere near what it should be. First let me say that I love rechargeable fans! I have a few other not-big-name rechargeable fans and mostly use them daily outside by the pool, at home or at the park...yes, I'm that person! All the fans I have had were half the price of this one and they are very similar in quality. So I just don't understand why it's so expensive! Other than that, it works pretty well. At higher settings, it creates quite a strong wind that will definitely help you while cooking. But lower settings are pretty pointless. Yes it has 5 settings but on the first one you can still count the fan blades as they pass and on the second it doesn't blow at all, is it really 5 settings?!?! The quality is all plastic and actually built no better than others I have for a fraction of the cost. The charger looks like what I would get with a $20 kid's toy. And yes, the battery is removable, but you only get one, which pretty much negates the benefits of a removable battery. Does it work in general? Yes. Is that a decent fan? Yes. Is it worth it? Absolutely not.
