Review on πŸ”ͺ KING KW65 Combination Whetstone Plastic: The Perfect Tool for Sharpening Blades by Charles Fowler

English manual

Mine also broke off on two corners. However, this does not affect sharpening, so I decided to leave it as it is. Revain needs to better protect fragile items during shipping. This sharpening stone is no different from other sharpening stones, so you don't need an instruction manual. It will be easier for us to use it properly if the instruction is included. I believe that the manufacturer has no intention of exporting its products abroad, so only the instruction manual written in Japanese is included. Here is the English translation: 1. Soak in water for about 3 minutes before use.2. Use it as shown in Figure 3. Sharpen both sides for double-edged knives. Sharpen single-sided knives on one side only.4. After sharpening, a small piece called "Kaeri" forms along the edges. To fix this, lightly sharpen the other side 2-3 times (stroke motions). Note: Be very careful when checking Kaeri. Do not rinse off dirty water when sharpening. Add more water as needed. If the surface of the stone is uneven, wrap the piece of wood with #100 sandpaper or damp paper and smooth it out. Irrigated flat concrete also works. Rinse thoroughly after use. Avoid direct sunlight and dry it. If your knife has chips, you should start with a #400 sharpening stone and then move on to this product. I usually sharpen my knife for about 2 minutes on each side. (2 minutes x 4 = 8 minutes)
