I don't usually write reviews but thought this door was worth it for those who can appreciate the information. I bought this dog door to replace the "Pet Safe" brand that I originally installed. Both of my puppies chewed on the Pet Safe vinyl door panels (the door has been replaced 3 times, and replacing the door is NOT cheap!). The "Ownpets" door has been standing for 3 weeks and the puppies haven't touched the door! The younger pup had no problem getting used to the new door and it took my 1 year old pup about 2 days before she stopped struggling. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it's poorly insulated so cold air gets in.
