Cable break after a year!

I was very happy with it the first year. When I went on a trip a few weeks ago, the light didn't work. After a thorough inspection, I found that all the cables were corroded. It was very brittle and powdery. Not just in the connection area. It was also 10 feet from the nearest link. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!
