Although the deadline for returning the goods has already passed and I still have not been able to return them (thrown away), the seller sends a new thermometer to replace the broken one I originally received. I am very impressed with the high quality of customer service. I was contacted within a day or two after posting a comment about a defective item I received. The seller offered me a full refund or a replacement of the product. Thank you for restoring my confidence in online shopping. Original post. It is very difficult to reach the probe when it is folded/closed. It fits snugly in a wide plastic case. The plastic case has no indentations for the thumb and forefinger, masking the difficulty of gripping the thin, smooth stainless steel probe. Now none of that matters anymore. Because the first and only time I used this thermometer, I needed a reading from a beautiful tomahawk steak I was cooking in the oven. I left a few minutes later but nothing showed on the screen. Brand new, it worked for one read and didn't show anything else. New battery. no Even at my peak (well, 10 seconds of fame) I wasn't overly impressed.
