If you like static, this phone is for you!

I had this phone approx. It's been 9 months now maybe longer. And I really don't understand how I survived using this two phone system for so long. Tonight, however, I took a giant step up to better quality and design with the Panasonic KX-TG 5432M Dual System. This dual tube is the worst I have ever encountered in a radio system. From the moment I installed it the static electricity was terrible. If you move more than ten feet from the base unit, you'll hear someone gargling gravel or a rabid cat hissing in your ear. I can't even go into my attached garage to talk to someone without high levels of static electricity, to the point where the other person can't even hear me. Even within two meters of the base station I get intermittent noise that becomes annoying and distracting not only for me but also for the other person on the other end of the line because they can hear it too. I will never buy another Uniden product if it is a poor quality product that they make. I had a 2.4MHz system that would have dwarfed this system. And I wish I'd never gotten rid of her. As the name indicates. If you want a lot of interference when you're on the phone, this is the system you need to bring that sizzling symphony of music to your ear. The melodic progression this system produces in someone who likes to use the phone will not put you to sleep, but rather increase your anger at what sounds like a violent thunderstorm raging in your head. Uniden should be ashamed of this product.
