Review on πŸ”§ Dee Zee DZ16210 NXc Mounting Bracket: Secure and Versatile Mounting Solution by Zachary Greene

Difficult to install at first

I used these brackets to install 16203 NXc footpegs on my 2014 GMC Acadia. Revane stated that they would not be working on their guide, but Deasy confirmed that they would. They fit into the holes on the car frame and no drilling is required. The mounts are tricky to install as they kind of expect you to thread a bolt into the included nut that floats in your frame's hole first. I have no issues with the rear of each footpeg, but the front mounts gave me problems. The top bolt had nothing to bang to prevent the nut from turning continuously. I found a video on Deezee and they just forgot about the problem like it never happened. I used a screwdriver in the same hole on the bottom of the bracket to attach this part, the middle hole presses against the frame so there was no problem there, but the top part required some fiddling. I ended up using some thin metal wire I had when the power company ran the wiring in my yard. Plugging into the same hole at the top of the bracket prevented the nut from rotating on impact and then allowed the bolt to be tightened. The only other issue I noticed was that the black paint on the mount peeled off easily. The brackets were nice and strong and worked well on my model year car. I sent some photos to show what the end result looks like.
