works great but make sure the awning can take the extra weight

I wanted to add some shade to my tent because it seems like when I'm camping in state parks without a hook, end up having a patch of sun burns. down in the trailer. I ordered a 10'x16'3โ€ which was perfect for my 17 foot shed but was slightly longer. It worked well but was a bit long for the height. It works great because you can pull out the base which gives you more freedom of movement. This shade is a heavy mesh material. It is designed to fit into a canopy groove used to add shade or blinds. There are eyelets on the underside to which bungee cords can be attached. Bungie cords are then attached to stakes that are driven into the ground. This allows the bungee to stretch in a light gust of wind and relieve the canopy. We had a light breeze and it worked well. If I wanted, the screen could be rolled up and secured with sewn-in straps. The only problem I have is that you have to take it off if you want your thrill rolling (I do it at night). No big deal, it's easy to do. One note: the pins that come with them are flimsy and I broke mine fairly easily. I used the metal ones I had on hand and they work great. I would recommend if you have one just buy the best bets. I have a side awning with it (not included) and they complement each other well. The umbrella folds neatly and fits into the included bag, which I will stow in the camper. One thing I would like to mention is that lightweight screen material does not add weight or wind load to your tent. Make sure your tent is designed for this. What I like: Durable material that provides plenty of shade Easy to put on and take off Can be rolled up Lots of sizes to choose from Comes with a bet storage bag
