DO NOT BUY. Some reviews have said it gets stuck in the locked position from time to time so try to DEFINITELY get stuck in the closed position. Installed in the door, closed and locked/opened but the latch does not open. My driver's door won't open! No matter what I did, it wouldn't open. I literally had to paralyze the bolt from the inside after fishing out the door card with the door closed. I had to poke through the latch like Swiss cheese and fumble with a screwdriver before it finally popped open. I put the original latch back in and it opened and closed as usual again. I'm a big OEM door expert so this is not an installation error. Please don't try to save money on non-BMW parts, don't repeat my mistake. Some parts may work well, but it's not worth the risk.
