Installs perfectly in 10 minutes with the right tools.1) Soak the urethane straps in hot water immediately after opening the package. I boiled some water in a beer mug and threw it away. 2) Cut the factory rubber with a NEW utility knife blade. They cut like butter in 30 seconds. 3) Use a small set of bolt cutters. If you don't have them, pick up a $20 set at a hardware store (or Amazon if you're here). You have JK, you'll need her anyway. The factory "plastic" pins actually have a steel insert. Even a small bolt cutter does it in 30 seconds, no risk of painting, job. 4) Attach the straps to the hood's top latch and drop them back into the hot water. Make sure they are good and warm. Install them in the bottom bracket and close them immediately. It will be difficult the first time. If you are small, you can ask one of your friends who is constantly helping people move house to fix them for you for the first time. It will take time, but eventually they will relax a little. Much luck.
