I bought this monitor direct from Renogy just after it was announced and installed it in a solar project using multiple Renogy AGM batteries with Renogy Rover controller and 1k inverter. This type of monitor, which includes a shunt, is the only way to accurately measure battery capacity and usage and is essential in a solar system. The Renogy works similarly to the Victron monitors but with a much more efficient display that shows all the important data without having to repeatedly press the buttons to read it. After using it for a while I find it absolutely necessary. Installation is easy with good instructions and building a simple housing for the display was just a minor downside.
