I would give 4 1/2 stars if I could. It's a bit slower than I was hoping for, but still faster than a traditional thermometer. The little black pencil cap, while handy for holding the thermometer, is small and I lose it easily. The display is nice and big and I appreciate the light. I'd rather keep it on the top than the sides, but that's not possible with buttons. Personal preference, but not a deal breaker. Good length probe. I haven't tested the water resistance, but it's nice not to have to worry about it becoming unusable if it falls into the sink while washing. The magnet is excellent. I clip it to the side of the fridge and it holds up well and is always handy. Arrived quickly and appears to be accurate. I have compared to my other thermometers and to ice calibration. Exactly! In general, a good, quality, inexpensive, and accurate thermometer.
