I bought two of these to replace florescent fixtures in a closet I am painting. I hooked one up to test it, and was pleasantly surprised by the brightness. I took one and replaced a florescent fixture over the kitchen sink. I have installed that one, and it's very nice. No 60Hz hum, and the LEDs are significantly brighter than the florescent tube I replaced.These are thin, a little more than beer can thick. I don't see that as a problem for my use, since it isn't subject to any contact. The knockouts don't align with the older fixtures, but that is easy enough to remedy with a step drill. The mounting holes are close, but not exact. Again, easily remedied.Overall, I'm impressed. I have a dimmer switch on order. The ad says these are dimmable. We shall see.
