My HP Sprocket sat rattling in my desk drawer for several months and finally decided to look around and see if there were any case options for it. And I was greeted by quite a few, I chose this one because it had a small strap to hold the sprocket (while others I've seen for the same price didn't). in case I or someone else accidentally opens it upside down and risks the printer falling out and breaking. Although it was a bit larger than I expected and unfortunately it has extra space where the printer was supposed to fit. But it's a universal case, so I think I understand why it's there. I don't know how well it protects from impact because it's a little soft on the outside, but I think unless you're Casey Neistat throwing gear around like a barbarian, it should protect it well enough. NO plastic hard shell on the outside, it's a soft leather texture to the touch. Turned red to match my asterisk.
