I can't tell you how well this collar works or if it will last. I can't tell you anything about it other than that it is NOT SUITABLE for a small dog. The description is 100% misleading! If I even think about it, rather than skimming the description and seeing "SMALL DOG" I would realize that there is NO WAY a shock collar could fit BOTH an 8 lb and 120 lb dog fits. It's physically impossible! We were given a dog collar that had a strap so it could be adjusted and fit me like a strap with a spare (and I'm a size 8 female). How does it fit a small dog? The clasps, the clasps on his collar didn't let him grow small enough. Strange. What about the vibration/shock unit? It was massive compared to our dogs neck and head. We sent the collar back and took a closer look at the purchases. We spend another $20 but this is made specifically for small dogs (the dog in the photo was a chihuahua). Save your time and energy and just skip this altogether if you have a really small breed!
