Review on ๐Ÿงถ Optimized Cornerstone Products Lite Crochet Hooks, Size E/3.5mm, Red Orange by Kelly Caballes

A good product. Bright light that is not easy to get used to. Chunky for a small hand.

I was unsure about buying this needle for a number of reasons. So I'm trying to break down my review as best I can. I wasn't sure how this would work for me since I hold the needles with a pen and not a knife. Most of the reviews were from people who were into the knife style and they complained that the switch was right next to their pinky and bothered them and that the light was easy to turn off. Apparently that wasn't a problem for me. My hands are pretty small and I'm used to using regular needles, so it was quite taxing on my hand and wrist because of the size of the needle body. The photos show that the needle is as thick as my fingers, albeit a bit flatter. It's not heavy at all - surprisingly light in fact - it's just bulky. There are also grooves on the rubber grip which can get a bit uncomfortable and annoying with constant use as the way you hold the pen means that's where most of the pressure is applied.2. The light is as bright as everyone says and I personally think crocheting at night would not be a good idea due to the glare. I bought it to use with dark yarn which is eye-tiring anyway, but it was a little strange getting used to the light. I honestly can't say I've adjusted to the light and I've had the needle for about 4 months now. I wear glasses and my eyes are a bit sensitive to bright light so take that into account if you're looking to buy as well. I was also concerned about the size of the hook. My favorite needle is the 3.5mm Milward needle my aunt gave me years ago when I first started crocheting. I recently bought a pack of Susan Bates (made in Mexico) for variety as I've broadened my scope. Photos feature Susan Bates front and side left, Milward center, and Crochet Lite right. In my opinion there is not much difference in the size of the hook. However, you can notice the distance at the resting point of the fingers from the tip. This actually affects how quickly and smoothly you can crochet as it determines the twist and movement of your hand around the yarn. Hope this helps anyone having a similar problem :)

This is very interesting to work with. It does take getting used to, but the light is super to use.
