Review on Highly Efficient Universal Hub Puller by TruePower 20-2029 by Rashan Jimenez

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The 3 in 5 hole pattern is not good and you risk deforming the hub

I used this to remove the hubs from the tapered axles on my Stude 39 and finally it worked on the second one I bought. Don't forget to lubricate the threaded shaft. The first one I bought stuck because the round thing that the hooks attach to is just aluminum. After grabbing this round piece, he simply turned around and the shaft with the hooks stayed in place. I couldn't figure out how to spin for 10 minutes without it coming loose. The other issue is that you really need 5 hooks if you are pulling a 5 lug hub, but I find that 6 lugs are fine. The 3 x 5 hole pattern is not very good and you run the risk of warping the hub.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Hard to tell
