The best tool for the job and it's made of metal!
First off, this tool is METAL, NOT PLASTIC. I don't know who said it's plastic, but it's not. Second, they use at GM dealerships to remove this line style. Saving time and getting more billable hours is a game. For the average DIYer, this is a must have tool if you have a GM. No more lost cloverleaf clips. They also fit some Chrysler van transmission lines.
