Breathable fabric, very comfortable for sleeping. I've tried buffs and wide headbands to protect my fine wavy/curly hair but they always fall off while I sleep. This cute hat stayed with me all night, every night I put it on. The wide band does not press. There's a seam, but I don't feel it. I know some people get stings, but I honestly don't know if they have them until I feel them with my fingers. The inner material is satin, but not completely smooth. I noticed that it was less fluffy in the morning. This makes my hair flat in the front and top quite flat overnight, so I pull my hair into a high ponytail and wear a hat over it. This hat is so soft and cozy that I wear it at home during the day just because I love it!
