I am restoring a trailer for a friend and have bought 2 drill bits to drill 7 holes based on previous experience with crowns in my professional and personal life , These ring saws usually live a hard life and don't last very long. I was surprised at the durability of this drill bit, I drilled all 7 holes in a 1/4" mild steel 2x4 pipe and only needed 1 piece. After 7 holes, apart from the paint being removed from the teeth, they seem very little To have withstood wear and tear. The downside to using this drill in a drill press is the noise, the noise this drill made was goddamn loud and horrible.Use hearing protection.I have photos of new and used plus a photo of drilled pipes for use Durability comparison attached.
