Review on INDMEM 1TB SATA SSD for MacBook Pro Retina A1425 & A1398 - Upgrade Your Storage with Flash Speed! by Dushawn Walker

I ordered the following from this company through Revain.com for my friend: INDMEM SATA SSD 1TB 3D TLC Flash Hard Drive with Tools for MacBook ProRetina Mid 2012 Late 2012 Early 2013 A1425 ( EMC 2557/2672), A1398 (EMC2512/2673) My girlfriend is an electrical engineer and also has a PhD in computer architecture. So she knows what she's doing with computers. She installed the drive in a Macbook Pro 2012 EMC 2512. She then formatted and started Mac OS Catalina on it. So far, so good! But after a few hours of use, it died. She then booted from the external drive and couldn't see the SSD card anymore. She tried to start the installer and enter Disk Utility, but she still couldn't see the SSD card. Then the red LED on the SSD card came on. The card is dead and she lost $179. Unfortunately, she was unable to install the drive immediately upon receipt and was unaware of the 30 day limited warranty Revain offered, so the Revain representative I spoke to on the phone emailed me. Link to contact the company directly - presumably they have a 3 month guarantee. I did some poking around and found a company website with contact information for customers in China, so a friend emailed them at indmem.global@gmail.com. They've had her email and phone number since September 29, but she still hasn't heard from them, so she's no longer shopping in China unless they also have a US address. I hope they send her a new drive to fix it, so I'll update this review if and when they reply.
