I use tons of paper towels so I love these. Unfortunately not much. I use a paper towel of my chosen size on my toast every day. I thought it might be a replacement for that. They are great the first time they are used, but after washing they become too wavy to use. Also, I usually have some type of fruit with my toast, and I like to occasionally wipe my fingertips with a "toast" paper towel. Unfortunately, they are so rigid that they are practically useless for this purpose. Forget wiping your (or your child's) mouth when it's dry. Pros: 1. They are essentially a very flat sponge and are good for wiping down the counter or washing dishes. Machine wash very well Cons: 1. They measure about 7 1/2 square feet when new. inches After getting wet and dry they shrink to about 6 1/2 square feet. inch They don't dry out evenly. I take them out of the washing machine, stretch them as much as I can, and set them out on the granite floor to dry. They always dry wavy. This makes storage difficult as they don't fold well.3. The waviness after drying makes them unsuitable for purposes other than cleaning.4. Very stiff when dry, therefore not suitable for drying hands or wiping mouths.
