I used this power grinder for the first time today and am impressed with its simplicity and usefulness. It fits both my 7" Metabo grinders and my 4 1/2" Harbor Freight grinders. Today's project was to trim an 18 gauge rectangular table frame. Corner. I also added four short legs cut from 18 gauge. square tube. All the metal was already painted, so I had to strip the paint off before welding everything back up. I attached each piece to the edge of the welding table with an auto-adjustable Kreg clamp and used a 4 1/2" sander with a flap wheel. I sanded one side of the square tube, turned off the sander, inserted it into the rest, rotated that Pipe 90 degrees and clamped it again. The grinder was still spinning when I picked it up and turned it back on to sharpen the next edge. I didn't waste time waiting for the mill to stop before turning it over and place it back (or front) on the table. The Power Grinder rest holds the tool at an angle so it's easy to reach and grab. Mine has a magnetic base that keeps everything attached to my metal table, at least with a small grinder/paddle wheel. I plan to buy at least one more stop to have both grinders ready!
