Doesn't work in Fish & Aquatic Pets
Didn't affect the ammonia level in my tank. However, my real problem is that there aren't enough bacteria to convert ammonia to nitrite and then to nitrate. I use Prime every 48 hours to keep my ammonia in a non-toxic ammonium state. I've had tanks with 8ppm ammonia (ammonia) and it hasn't affected those levels in any way.
