Review on Motorad 456 180 Thermostat by Aaron Romero

2005 Corvette. The car ran with the factory-set thermostat constantly between 192 and 194 degrees, regardless of the outside temperature, the air conditioning on or off. After replacing the factory thermostat with a Motorad 456-180, the engine temperature fluctuates steadily between 199 and 201 degrees. Even if the fans were reprogrammed to 70% at 185 and 100% at 192. I checked the fan percentage by testing and did a ride test twice to let it cool enough to remove air from the cooling system. With this thermostat, the engine runs almost 10 degrees hotter than with the factory thermostat and even 20 degrees hotter than the advertised 180 degrees.
