The clamp works well but has not been cleaned, there are sharp edges around the screw holes on both parts (especially the threaded holes).

This is a very high quality product. I have used it as a collar on my boat's driveshaft as a safety stop to prevent it from falling out of the boat in the event it separates from the engine coupler.

I bought this shaft clamp to replace the hose clamp that was used to prevent our 34ft sailboat's wheel from moving forward on the rudder shaft. in two pieces! Important as I couldn't get the key out of the stock to fit the one piece collar. The amulet works.
