Review on πŸ“· Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.4G Lens with Auto Focus: Perfect for Nikon DSLR Cameras by Virot Rongrot ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A nice option for the money, one of the best deals.

Tip for those who have problems with AF; The subject should be lighter than the background. When shooting at 1.4, set the shutter speed to 1/320 or faster. On all models, Nikon is younger than the D750 AF so-so. And don't zoom everything at 1.4 very often the depth of field should be more. It so happened that I already have this 3rd fifty dollars 1.4G and there were no problems with any of them.

Pros
  • Aperture! The size! The weight! Price! Softness around the edges of the frame! Yes, yes guys, this is the advantage of this lens, and not its disadvantage. Cheap glass with a really top-notch pattern. (but with the closing of the aperture, like all cheap Nikons, it becomes not as top-end as we would like).
Cons
  • Slow AF.
