I like that it is super fast, can handle large amounts of data which makes ETL jobs much easier to perform as well as analytics applications. Also has many connectors available for various databases (MySql, MSSQL SQL Server). There are still some things missing such as support for non standard formats or not supported in spark sql but those could be added at no additional cost. The best part about this product is its speed and how easy spark integration works with mysql database compared to similar products without any extra fees. We use Apache Kafka streaming service together with MySQL DB along with our own custom designed application written using PySpark API and we used all three integrations mentioned above to extract specific information from incoming messages stored into the kafka stream store.
