Review on 🔑 Convenient Chamberlain 956EV Keychain Remote Control for Garage - 1 Pack by James Yarbrough

Like other reviewers, I was looking for a portable remote that I didn't have to leave in my car as I often park in my driveway. . I bought two of these for my back in August 2015. It's been almost 1.5 years since the original installation and I haven't had any problems. The reception is good. I can open the door at the end of the driveway, about 30 feet from me. This is with the remote on my car key in the ignition, pretty low and blocked by the dash. For this size it is perfect (see picture). I can easily put this remote in my pocket, as well as my Subaru key fob, and it doesn't take up much space. The durability of this remote control is good. To put it bluntly, in 1.5 years I have activated the remote more than 700 times. The buttons still click like when you first bought it and it still runs on the original battery. Over time the "Chamberlain" logo on the remote has worn off as you can see in the picture. However, the case itself is solid and has no scratches from use or scratches from other keys on my keychain. I'm taking off a star because it's so easy to accidentally activate the buttons on the remote control. They have click resistance, but much less resistance than most car keys. Also, the large button has a large area for accidental presses. I've considered programming one of the smaller buttons as the open button, as I've found that it's less likely to be accidentally pressed. Although I've only pushed the big button once in the last 1.5 years without realizing it. To be honest it's not a big problem for me to reprogram it. If you accidentally have trouble activating a large button or are concerned that this will happen, I recommend using one of the smaller buttons instead. All in all, even with a small button issue, I would highly recommend this product to anyone. Having the opener on my keychain was far more useful than clipping it to my car visor.
