Leather is too thick, wide and stiff. The reins are practically unusable, they cannot be mounted with one hand - they are too thick and hard. They will not be given. I ended up soaking them in a container of foot oil and spending a couple of days applying more coats to the headset. I have another similarly designed headset that is much thinner, softer and lighter and I like it better. At least the nose was changed from hard nylon, rubbing the wound in 10 minutes, to a softer one. I don't get another.
