Review on Daystar Wrangler Absorber KU01010 America by Jasneet Jazzy

Good shock absorbers on shock absorbers, struts and suspension

These shock absorbers are pretty good and worth the money. They come with rubber grommets and hardware uninstalled. Shocks do not have a "rod end", they come with a rod that pushes through the bushings. To install it I had to use a ball joint press. I believe if you had strong hands you could set them up but I decided to use the tools I had to make this easier. Due to the design, the shock absorbers can be mounted on top or bottom (gas shock absorbers work in both directions). They are beautifully colored and look good. The shocks are actually made out of pretty good rubber, not the cheap plastic shocks that some cheap shocks come with. I installed them on a 2012 Jeep Wrangler. Earlier shocks were Rubicon. As advertised, the new shocks have been increased by about 3 inches. For me it was perfect. The punching speed is pretty good. I swapped them out for a harder spring at the same time I changed the springs. The suspension is firm, but the dampers do a good job of keeping the springs under control, and there's no real bounce - they do their job. I recommend them.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
