I have two cars that I wanted to be able to diagnose their problems with and do the same for my friends cars. I'm a hobby mechanic who has been dealing with cars for many years, but with each new model it gets harder and harder. This scanner offers a wealth of diagnostic information and options. However, the correct interpretation of the information requires additional knowledge, which the user must find himself. As this is my first scanner other than a code reader I have nothing to compare it to and I probably won't be using it very often so I'll leave it to others to provide more detailed user input. So far, however, I'm impressed with what it can do. Be prepared to spend a lot of time learning all the features if you are not already familiar with diagnostic tools.
