I don't use this for rice every day, I have an aroma rice cooker that has expired. I'm an older cook, I started forgetting to put food on the stove, which is not uncommon in old age. This allows me to cook nutritious food and I never have to worry when I leave "did I turn off the stove" after cooking it heats up. The food is always ready. Also for the young busy chef. I sent this stove to three young relatives, they love it.
