These AAwipes Cleanroom Wipes are quite versatile. I used them for cleaning glass and other non-porous surfaces. I also tried them on a lens, and they seemed to do quite well, leaving little to no lint and felt gentle enough to be safe for the coatings. They’re strong and difficult to tear – although there is a grain direction along which they will tear more easily.I tried these for tough jobs as well, such as cleaning sap from my car. They easily picked up all manner of junk and left a nice polished surface. They’re strong enough that I was able to rinse them out and reuse several times on other areas of the car.The short video shows an AAWipe in use, and that that they are pretty tough. I tore one along the grain to illustrate and then sprayed it with alcohol while testing it out.The 12”x12” wipes arrived in a tightly sealed plastic bag in one, unfolded stack. Liberating one wipe from the stack was a little tricky – it tended to want to drag along the next wipe in the stack. I wished that the bag was resealable to keep the unused wipes fresh and clean, or perhaps folded like a box of tissues to make it easier to pick out one wipe. I'm going separate them into smaller stacks and then place these into resealable zipper bags so the unused wipes will be less likely to pick up contaminants.Still, I like them and envision that they will be useful for lots of cleanup projects from machining to fine optics to computer screens.
