I am very satisfied with this unbleached filter paper. Ironically, I started using them seriously on Kauai. I just can't find a kettle on the whole island - no kidding! They haven't been to Macy's, Kmart, Walmart, or Costco. I actually bought a glass coffee pot to use as a teapot at my local Ace hardware store. Confirm And then it occurred to me to find and buy a kettle here on Revain.com! However, it was a ridiculous WEEKS after my 2.5 month stay. In the meantime, we have not only brewed a teapot (in a coffeepot!), but also cups of tea in a mug with these tea filters every day. The paper does not impart an unpleasant taste to our tea, hangs easily from the walls of the vessel and allows you to RINSE the tea leaves before brewing. Yes, this is the secret of pure tea: Rinse the leaves in boiling water (or under the HOTTEST tap water) for a few seconds. I now travel with these filter bags in case the teapot is hard to come by. And believe me, they're getting as rare as the unicorn here in the US. More recently I've used these filters to make ginger pacifiers. If you feel nauseous after surgery, simply grate fresh ginger root, place in this filter bag, and then steep in water or sparkling water to desired concentration. Works great!
