I bought this machine after my dog left to give the carpets a deep cleaning. I have rented it in the past but didn't like the gross factor of not knowing what it was last used for and if it was cleaned. Like the rental machines it did a great job not getting the carpet wet but removing a lot of dirt. Unfortunately, I found that the upholstery attachment was leaking. I could have returned it but was able to do what I had to do to delete that part despite the leaks. I then took it to my local repair shop and they were able to order a replacement under warranty with no questions asked (although it took just over a week). I was also surprised when Rug Doctor called after 5pm and they have support people working for them which is great. Aside from the jet leak, this is a great machine and really well built. I love that they use HDPE type plastic instead of hard plastic that can crack, which has been a concern for me with Bissel machines since I've had some of their consumer models with cracked tanks or other parts. It seems like Rug Doctors are meant to be repaired, not thrown away when they break or have problems - at least for the most part, since they were just replacing a leaking upholstery fixture rather than fixing it. If I could make an improvement it would be a level gauge for clean and dirty tanks as it's hard to tell when it's getting low when the machine is running with earbuds on (which I would recommend as it's noisy).
