Review on Ubiquiti Networks UniFi UAP-AC-PRO: Powerful πŸ”₯ Dual-band WiFi Access Point with Gigabit Speeds by Walter Martin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I finally have a good network at home

If you're like me, you've never wanted to spend more than $100 on a home network, both wired and wireless. name a few, and let's not forget the routers/modems that come with an ISP. Had to reboot router numerous times to resolve connectivity issues, most of these issues were Wi-Fi related and some were wired. It's just that I've spent many hundreds of dollars just to annoy myself. That's why I was skeptical of what seems to be a fandom for Ubiquiti and the UniFi brand. After setting up my network with UniFi (UAC-AC-PRO $142; this is the most expensive network I've set up for myself (at least x3 I ever thought I'd spend), it has to so its GOOD. Won't shrink well enough. It's PERFECT! The single UAP-AC-PRO gives complete (and durable) coverage of my 2,700 sqft single story home despite being in the corner of the house, not the center (I intend to move it around to provide a better backyard signal. Since installing I haven't had to reboot the system except for the occasional firmware update. It took me some time to get used to how the controls handled "It makes so much sense now. I can't recommend it enough. As for the price? I think if you stack up and compare to the hardware you've bought over the years, Ubiquiti will beat any uber experience e of them combined.

Pros
  • The UniFi AC Pro Access Point supports simultaneous dual-band 3x3 MIMO technology on the 5 and 2.4 GHz radio bands.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
