I've used them (and their female counterparts) for connections between my 12v transformers and the LiPo balancer chargers that I use for 3S 11.7- Use V batteries. I charged 2 batteries simultaneously and it draws about 4.2 amps continuously from the terminals for 1-1/2 hours. I checked the connections for heat but found nothing. Some found the wires difficult to insert. I loosened the screws a bit and inserted an awl into the holes to pry open the metal case and the wires slid right in. I like the fact that the screws don't screw into the wires. They screw into the metal material of the connector, which in turn presses against the wire. Thus, the wire will not be damaged by the rotation of the screw. It would also be wise to "tin" the ends of the wires to make them easier to insert, but I didn't do this with the 14 Ga wire I used. It was tight. The product description says 16-26 AWG, but I was able to get it to work with 14 AWG. These connectors are also considerably large and heavy. Therefore, if you need to use it in a limited space, you can use another option.
