The key to making this thing look passable on my sofa is to use HUGE amounts of Velcro. The ties did not reach across the bottom of the sofa so it was very tacky looking tied on in the only way possible until I put stick on Velcro all the way along the base of the sofa and on the cover to stick down. Now it looks okay, but the TINY foam pieces do not hold the cover on.when you sit on it they just pop out so I had to use bigger pool noodles or else it will pop out. Didn't want and won't use the pillow covers.seems like a waste. Too bad the set didn't come with a foot rest cover instead. This fabric is incredibly thin like panty hose so I doubt it's durable and I don't know how stain resistant it is yet, but it's so thin, I'm expecting a hole or two pretty quickly. I got a poke hole in it just by tipping the sofa back to tie it on per the instructions so I doubt it will last long at all. It does temporarily keep you from having to buy a new sofa if that's what you're aiming for.
