I bought a relatively high end home theater system and wanted to run cables through the walls and ceiling. While probably not a job for the absolute beginner, as it required drilling sleepers and tethers and cutting out some sections of drywall (due to seismic bracing in the walls), these speaker mounts got the job done in no time. professional way. I installed the connectors in the correct places for the speakers on both the ceiling and some of the walls, then made short leads with banana plugs to draw the final conclusions. The brackets allowed me to place the speakers in positions that aren't necessarily parallel to the mounting surfaces to direct the sound the way I wanted. The end result is a good balance of workmanship and functionality.
