Review on Sangean FB-100 Fatbox Rugged Industrial AM/FM Radio by Arturo Reyes

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Bass is heavy, high quality!

This compact radio meets all the requirements, but has a few disadvantages. A large speaker produces powerful bass. The mids and highs are a bit washed out. However, this is not a violation of the terms of the contract. If you are in a noisy environment, it may sound a little low and you have to turn it up to hear it. But I work in a very noisy place so take that with a grain of salt. The digital tuner, which allows you to receive digital signals for greater clarity, is great. It also has static cancellation, so if you were otherwise hit by a white nose, the volume will be turned down. There are only 5 presets per band (1 FM, 1 AM). So you might think that this is a little missing. Bluetooth is pretty damn easy and keeps connecting to my iPhone for just listening. Build quality is good and it will likely survive a fall due to the roll cage. The cage is plastic though, so if you throw it in the truck a lot it might not last long. It's also waterproof, but keep it away from the pool. It's just a splash guard. He'll probably survive the downpour. The built-in battery charging is a great feature. Do yourself a favor and take some C-Cell NiMH rechargeable batteries with you when picking up this radio. The only downside is that the batteries won't charge unless the radio is turned off. So it might hurt a little if you don't turn the radio on and off. when you don't use it. For the price, and for those who want to use Bluetooth, this stereo is a good choice, but you get what you pay for. It's not the most durable, not the loudest, and not the cleanest. and he probably would have survived the fall due to the roll cage.
