Bass is heavy, high quality!

This compact radio meets all the requirements, but has a few disadvantages. A large speaker produces powerful bass. The mids and highs are a bit washed out. However, this is not a violation of the terms of the contract. If you are in a noisy environment, it may sound a little low and you have to turn it up to hear it. Great little boom box!

The thing is solid and sounds great for my purposes. I often take this boombox outside when working on outdoor projects and gardening in my backyard or even indoors in my basement store. Enough volume for my purposes of working in close proximity to the radio itself, sometimes as far as 20 feet, and it doesn't drain my batteries of life anytime soon. Almost perfect

I prefer this Sangean U3 radio because of its size, weight and price. The U3 is larger, weighs about 12 pounds (I don't want to carry that extra 5 pounds up the stairs if I don't have to), and costs about $30 more (at the time of writing this article).
