Review on Fasco 11081F Duo Fast Upholstery Stapler: Premium Quality and Efficient Stapling Solution by Darryl Blumenthal

Great product. I was skeptical when I received it and it didn't seem to weigh anything and was made entirely of aluminum and plastic. However, it is very well built. The PA plastic is probably PA66/fiber reinforced and is very strong. Most of what you see in the picture is black. The blue body is made entirely of cast aluminum and the temple guide is made of extruded aluminum. Overall really well done and now I'm glad it's lightweight. Much easier to manipulate than my old electrics which weighed about 10 pounds. It uses Duo Fast 50 series staples (1/2 inch wide staples, NOT ARROW T50!). The Real Duo Fast staples fit and work well. electrically fast). It lasts 60 pai min, I had a misfire and saw the line pressure drop to about 55psi. Worked great at 60-90 as recommended. Never had any misfires or seizing. Went through about 300 staples to finish the job and couldn't be happier. Can shoot faster than I can aim and press. My only complaint is the trigger safety (no surface safety). The trigger safety requires a somewhat awkward grip of squeezing my middle finger to remove the safety and then pulling the trigger finger. I'm used to it, but it's the only thing that detracts from 5 stars across the board. I clung to the struts outside my ladder. I needed a better grip than my old fuseless electrics. But that's rare and frankly kept me from being more dangerous than I should have been. Good product.
