Ability to separate 4K60 and DD+ audio with hidden firmware change

My previous setup was a 4K UHD TV and an old Denon 1909 AV receiver that doesn't support 4K. The receiver is very functional and powerful, so I had no plans to change the current 5.1 setting other than a major upgrade to the speakers. My only solution was an optical connection from the TV, but the limited bandwidth meant I couldn't get HD audio and was the weak link in the chain. My only choice was to live with it until I upgrade my receiver. Until I discovered this little treasure. I tried other splitters but was greeted by flickering screens, no sound, 1080P on both outputs, washed out colors etc. I was skeptical when I received it but was intrigued by the customization options. Out of the box I was able to get 4K video, and after setting the DIP switch to downscale, HD audio ran through the receiver. However, no matter which configuration I tried, there was a constant flickering of the video signal. Was about to return when after doing some research found this product to be the same as the EZCOOL P12H2 splitter. I went straight to the product page on the EZCOOL website (not Revain) and downloaded the "Firmware Update" package from the downloads section. I haven't updated the firmware, but there was a tool (PortHelper) that allowed me to connect directly to the splitter and change the EDID settings. (The tool is partly in Chinese, but just follow the included video tutorials). Once I changed the EDID to "30" (Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos) it works like a charm,
