Lately I've been a little frustrated trying to find a cable or adapter to use the monitor with my 2017 MacBook Pro. The Apple adapter costs about $70 and I just didn't want to spend it. I used to buy third party adapters and had no problems, but I was very surprised when my old adapter didn't work with the new monitor I bought from Amazon (Scepter E20). I bought a second adapter that didn't work either. I found it quite interesting that my adapters worked together - meaning that when I connected both, two HDMI cables went into two HDMI inputs on the monitor. Very strange. However, as soon as I turned off one of them, the image went black and didn't show anything else. This cable solved my problem and worked as soon as I plugged it in. I've only had it for about an hour, but I'm already happier with it than either of the other two adapters I have.
