We have had good luck with the Eukanuba dog for over twenty years but have had to downsize to a smaller bag. . The specs of this older small breed Nutro looked good. My concern is that this food does not contain glucosamine and I will have to add it myself. MacTavish weighs 24 pounds and I'm not sure he needs a tiny pellet size but he manages. Old reviews mention round granules with a hole; this was not the case with the meal I received in February 2021. Can be upgraded to Nurtro Senior in a 13# bag, no reference to dog size but reviews say it's fine for small dogs. Good stuff, except for the lack of glucosamine. Four months later; We switched to Nutro Natural Choice in "regular" senior size. It's small enough that boy Scotty has no problem chewing it. It seems like dogs smaller than our 24 pounds could use this type of small breed, but the Mac is no small breed. He says it.
