Excellent product. If you use tap water, chances are it contains copper. I had a problem keeping the shrimp alive in my aquarium due to copper traces. I put this in and after a week I was able to add the shrimp. The shrimp have been in the aquarium for months without any problems. I highly recommend using this product if you use tap water (use a conditioner too) and then leaving this bag in the filter to remove traces of copper from your tap water. **If you don't have the right media pack, buy a cheap pair of tights, cut them, wash them in soft tap water, tie off, then add to the filter. ***
