Cat Friendly Christmas Tree Lights
Our cats love to chew on power cords for some reason so we had to ditch our old 120v lights in favor of battery operated lights. They just weren't bright enough, and changing the batteries weekly was a hassle. This year I dared these new low-voltage LED lights and am very satisfied. They have a strong cord, the LED bulbs stay cool and the light output and warm white color are pretty darn close to our old mini incandescent bulbs. Also, you can lengthen the string by buying another set and splicing them end to end - the waterproof end connectors are a smart feature. The result - the cats are safe, the wife is happy, I am happy.
