Expensive but safe to eat. Good for groceries, buy cheaper versions for cleaning.

A photo with a can of soda for scale. It's citric acid. Citric acid is useful for many things, including cleaning, as well as adding a tart flavor. It comes in a nice container, but it's very expensive for the quantity. when you use it for cleaning. If you look at many cleaners for things like dishwashers and coffee makers, you'll find that citric acid is the active ingredient. I would advise you to buy cheaper bottled citric acid. However, I take comfort in the fact that it comes in one serving size and appears to have been processed to be safe for human consumption. So I'm going to use citric acid for adding to food and a cheaper option for cleaning.
