The replacement hinges appear strong enough for domestic use but I would not recommend them for a heavily used toilet. The installation guide is fine if the old hinges are the same as these, but sounds simpler than it would otherwise be. If your old seat has a different bolt hole orientation, you will need to position the seat pieces and these pieces very carefully, making sure the mounting bolt holes are 5.5 inches apart. , drill 3/32" pilot holes for the screws, being careful not to go too deep. These are not soft close hinges, so I'll improvise some foam bumpers or something to lessen the impact when closing.
